The Morteratsch is the glacier with the largest surface in the Bernina Range of the Bündner Alps (Canton Graubünden) in Switzerland.
It is possible to walk through the valley, where the glacier used to exist, to the point where the glacier still stands. All along the walk, you can see the markings and how it has melted (and continues to melt) over the years.
At the glacier base, there are two small ice caves that you can explore (at your own risk).
