Art for Impact explained
Art for Impact is a project that combines three passions: art, hospitality and environmental & social causes.
I've always strived to use art as a catalyst for positive impact. My goal has always been to translate messages with images and make individuals more aware of their environment and relationships with nature or people.
After two years of living and documenting in photographs the hospitality industry, I started falling in love with it. All the hotels I've visited have inspired or taught me something in their unique ways. It has always been an immersion into a new world - getting to know new places, people, food, and ways of doing business. Not only a building with rooms but a type of home away from home, allowing visitors to explore new surroundings and live new experiences.
While exploring the stunning regions that Switzerland has to offer, the idea started growing;
why not combine the three aspects -
art, hospitality and impact?
What initiated as a seed of an idea came to fruition.
The Hotels act as enablers for artists to create and the platform to showcase the final results. Part of the sale of the art pieces is donated to an organisation of choice that aligns with the Hotel's and artist's values.
It is a threefold effort to engage different communities and strive for positive impact.
