The meditative state of planting

Preparing the soil, choosing your seeds, and planting carefully. With the necessary task of retrieving the weeds that do not belong and occasionally repotting to enable room for growth.

Watering the little ones regularly to nourish and provide the necessary strength that they need to mature.

To then, after a long time of devotion, care and patience, eventually harvest the hard work, enjoy the fruits of it to the fullest and start preparing the soil for the next seeds to come.

The same thought can be translated to the way we live. We choose the seeds we want to plant today to start harvesting in the future. Things don’t come from one day to another. It needs dedication, commitment and care, to nourish, to water, to give the necessary space to grow. Ideas, lifestyles, dreams. Every day you can choose to do that which will bring you closer to your desired achievement. Every day is an opportunity to admire the seeds developing. See them slowly turning themselves into something more visible, more tangible - that little green tip facing out of the ground, which you’ll know that only in a few days will have received an even more mature shape. Until the day that you’ll decide to harvest the fruits, delight yourself in them, and start preparing for the next idea/project/goal.

Which seeds are you nurturing at the moment, and how do you envision your garden?

Let’s start planting today.
