This was my fourth stay at the Hotel Montana Luzern since I first visited the location in 2021. It has been a beautiful journey accompanying them throughout their new identity development - from the corporate identity to newly refurnished rooms, restaurants, reception and bars.

In the Northeast of Brazil, there's a part called the cacao route, and just recently, the Chocolate Hotel has opened its doors. I lived there for 20 days, and here are my insights and some of the photographic results of my sweet stay in this little piece of paradise.

Five minutes away from the airport and 30 minutes away from the city centre with a direct tram is the Dorint Zürich Flughafen. After visiting Essential by Dorint in Basel last year and Dorint Beatenberg in June this year, it was time to try out the last of the combo - the Zurich location.

Zermatt, and most specifically Hotel Pollux, feels like home already. This has been my third time living here at the Hotel. The last two times were once during winter 2021 and for a period last summer.

Think about a place where you can forget about all the problems, sleep deeply, and wake up renewed to the sound of cheerful birds, where you can swim in a mirror-like lake surrounded by mountains and tank all your energies.

After covering the fall and winter seasons, it was time to cover the third and last part of the assignment - the summer mood. Montana is a summer paradise. With a beach club and the Scala Terrasse, the stunning view doesn’t get boring while enjoying fresh drinks and great food.

After visiting their Basel unit last year, they invited me to live a period at their mountain Hotel - Dorint Blüemlisalp Beatenberg. It is located 30 min away by bus from Interlaken West, in the stunning Berner Oberland region.

Mountains, lake, trees, the singing birds (with falcons among them), and a peaceful fresh air summarise the Hotel Balm's surrounding in Meggen, Switzerland. The story of the land where the Hotel lays trails back to the eighteen-hundreds, where Napoleon's troops camped.

In reality, it has always been a wine hotel, but the Conca Bella Boutique Hotel & Wine Experience embraced its essence and adjusted the interior design to receive the slogan #thefirstwinehotelticino only in 2021. The history of the Hotel under the management of the Montereale family dates back to 1984.

After my first visit to the Art Deco Hotel Montana in November 2021, it was time to return and document the new rooms they constructed during the winter season.

I couldn't have wished for better days.

In a small village, 30minutes away from Luzern, there's Sachseln, part of the canton of Obwalden, where Verena's Boutique Villa au Lac is located. A Guesthouse with six comfortable rooms (three single and three double rooms) divided into two floors facing the beautiful Sarnersee.

Inside the Novotel Bern Expo, you’ll find the GourmetBar Bern - which will receive its own communication channel to attract locals for lunch and dinner. A place to connect visitors with the citizens of Bern in an uncomplicated, friendly and vibrant environment. Therefore, my total focus for the assignment was the Restaurant - bringing it to its essence.

Back again at the little paradise Chesa Pool. After visiting the Hotel in Summer and Autumn, it was time for the last chapter of the assignment - covering the winter season.

Casa Rose Trancoso is not a Hotel per se, but a fully serviced house instead, located in the beautiful town of Trancoso - a popular place for individuals seeking time off.

Excellent food, impeccable service, and Lucerne's best view summarize the Art Deco Hotel Montana - an oasis only a few minutes away from one of Switzerland's (in my opinion) prettiest cities.

Imagine the delight when combining bike, cuisine and art…that place exists! In the little town of Mergozzo, located in the North of Italy, Patricia Orem and Felipe Bianchi, parents of Teo (a 2-year old boy) and Margot (a beautiful Weimaraner), have opened the Casa Della Capra.

Engadin became one of my favourite spots (I dare to say) in the world - especially during autumn time. As the director of Chesa Pool commented, living in this location makes taking vacations a tricky thing. Everywhere you go, it‘s „ok“ since your residence is already a paradise hard to top.

Since the one week in July was not enough to cover all the things to explore at the Essential by Dorint Basel City, I returned for a second period in September. This time, to explore a bit more the surroundings and to-dos of the Hotel's region and the activities one can do when travelling with kids.

Located at the heart of Lugano, one can reach the old town within only a few steps, a five-minute walk to the remarkable Parco Ciani and, to the other direction, a five-minute walk from the Central Bus station, giving you access to all around. If you're looking to visit Lugano from a RAW, down to earth perspective, this is your go-to.
